Stephen Duane.png

Stephen Duane

Charleston born and raised, Stephen didn’t just grow up around Swing music. He grew up inside it. His grandfather, Genial Johnny Duane, was a Big Band musician in the 1930s and 40s, so the Golden Age sound has always been in his blood.

With over 20 years of teaching and social dancing, Stephen brings genuine love for the culture everywhere he goes. He teaches and hosts Sunday night parties at Ballroom Dance Charleston and instructs and DJs for Holy City Swing. When he’s off the floor, you’ll find him chasing waves or lost in an Argentine Tango.
